A regression analysis was used of data collected by the VA Center of Excellence for Stress and Mental Health gathered from over 700 veterans at intake during initial eligibility appointments. The screening used the PTSD Checklist (Civilian) to determine level of PTSD based on self-reports of 17 questions. This was examined with data collected on service history to determine number and location of deployments.
