Demographic data from the 2010 U.S. Census indicate a sea change in the demographics of the United States and, specifically, of California. The growth of the Latino population has risen dramatically from 9.1 million in 1970 to 50.5 million in 2010, and is projected to be 132.8 million by 2050. I examine whether the growth in numbers is leading to a change in power for Latinos in California. Concluding that it is, I then look at power through narrative.
