Neuroscience is the methodology by which we attempt to explain the functions of the nervous system. Much work has been accomplished in the study of the individual computational component of the brain, the neuron. This, however, has failed to explain the functional processes of the brain as it has been widely noted that it is the connectivity of the neurons which determines much of their function[WSTB86].
