Waiting Rooms is a collection of poetry broken into five sections, each containing a separate intention of form and content. These fives sections remain in conversation with the overarching themes of the collection as a whole. This collection maps the multiple types of violence perpetuated against women in domestic and institutional settings, as well as its historical presence in literary fiction/poetry and pop culture entertainment. Taking cues from Modernist poetry, Shakespearean plays, and Southern Gothic/Noir traditions, Waiting Rooms situates Poe's Gothic conception of a woman's 'beauty in death' in a modern Midwestern localit
