These genetic lesions allow the cells to accumulate traits such as uncontrolled proliferation, resistance to cell death, and invasive growth. Functional characterization of these genetic lesions will help us to understand the molecular alterations required for lymphomagenesis, and to provide better therapeutic strategies.
