The present study aims to examine the impact of health behaviors, socioeconomic status (SES) and gender on parental concerns of child development. The secondary data used for this study was pulled from the 2009 California Health Interview Survey (CHIS). The independent variables in this study are health behaviors, SES and gender. The dependent variables in this study are parental concerns about how well their child understands what you say, about how their child behaves, concern their child can't do what other same age children can do, and lastly, concern that their child is at risk of a developmental delay.
