Purpose – Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and its subtype, Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), are highly prevalent diseases which are characterized by diagnostic limitations and unmet therapeutic need. The disease spectrum in the liver includes hepatic steatosis, inflammation, and fibrosis.
