The incorporation of the broadest possible university library collection into the Systemwide Integrated Library System (SILS) ensures more comprehensive discovery and access for UC users, facilitates the development of campus and systemwide services, and reduces UC’s overall software licensing and systems administration costs. There are a number of affiliated library collections in the University of California (UC) system, such as professional school and subject libraries.
