The subjects that are examined within my works are the physical materials\ud that make up a home, the people that define home, the places where home materializes,\ud and the memories that home generates. These ideas surface and work themselves into my\ud studio practice from the foundation of the everyday. The work involves interactive\ud spaces, nostalgic memory, societal awareness and multifaceted objects that develop from\ud symbols, feelings, lists and notions.\ud When constructing and reconstructing, I respond intuitively to materials,\ud while the dis-composures of everyday life produce the objectivity of chance. With these\ud two possibilities in and out of my hands, I turn to the limitations of control within extended\ud processes and test the boundaries of media.\ud By illuminating the threshold of home, my installation becomes a crossexamination\ud of comfort and discomfort, the real and the fake, illusion and disillusion.
