Description of reintegration experiences among geriatric and young female offenders

Because reintegration needs differ depending on gender and age, there is a need for more age- and gender-responsive reentry programs to meet the complex needs of older and younger female offenders. This proposed study will use focus groups and semi-structured interviews of 40 female parolees and ex-parolees to describe and compare all possible variations in the reintegration experiences among geriatric and young female offenders residing in California who receive reentry services and those who do not
