Factors influencing depression among Latino older adults

The primary areas of study were stigma, cost and lack of insurance, transportation and language as related to depression. The sample for this study included 1732 self-reported Latino older adultsfrom the CHIS. This study hypothesizes that barriers to accessing mental health services is influenced the prevalence of depression among Latino older adults. The above hypothesis is supported by the literature but mixed results were found in the data
