Lead performance in a short film: production of Pandora's Nest

ReganThis thesis gives a written account of my short film from the inception of the idea to the final product. Through a fictional story of a woman going into her afterlife, the objective of my thesis project, in which I have a lead performance, is to query the limits of sacrifice in order to find happiness. I wrote this performance piece as a short screenplay, using the concept of afterlife as a metaphor to show the hardship of being a stranger in an unknown place, while probing the unconscious of the lead character. Writing the script, producing the movie, and creating the character carve out the body of the thesis; while the theoretical approach blends together feminist and psychoanalytical theories.
