The Kizil Dağ ophiolitic massif represents a complete but very moderately dismembered sequence comprising tectonites, ultramafic and mafic cumulate gabbros, a sheeted dyke complex, pillow lavas, plagiogranites and a complex sedimentary cover. REE patterns from the gabbros, diabases and plagiogranites allow the study of the relationships between the various terms of this ophiolite. Coryell diagrams show a general tendency to light REE depletion. Ultramafic cumulates do not show any variation. General enrichment is progressively growing between mafic cumulates and diabases.
