In this work, spray painting simulation was implemented to Delfoi offline programming software. Modelling of sprays was implemented using static planar deposition models that are extended to curved surfaces with area magnification. Elliptical Gaussian sum was used for air sprays and a modified variant for bell sprays. Experimental data was used to create spray models of both spray types. Parameter fitting was implemented using an inverse approach where only dynamic thickness distribution measurements are used. The resulting models were simulated at different settings to compare against experimental data.
