In this study, a three-dimensional (3D) porous polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) was prepared using a cheap material with a highly simple and different method. PDMS was firstly applied for the removal of carbol fuchsin (CF) cationic organic dye pollution in this study. Besides, the adsorption capacity of 3D PDMS for removal of the CF was found quite high compared to other materials in already published results. The synthesized PDMS was characterized using several spectroscopic and imaging techniques such as FTIR, Raman, SEM, stereomicroscope, EDX, UV/Vis, and TGA.
