Cultural, morphological and molecular tools established that Fusarium sacchari is the causal agent. Severe Pokkah boeng (PB) caused by different species of Fusarium such as F. sacchari, F. verticillioides, F.andiyazi, F. subglutinans and F. semitectumdrastically reduced inter nodal elongation of canes.
