This article shows the first conclusions of a master’s degree study in Management and School Administration called “Self-Evaluation. What is its given importance? – A case study”. The goal of this study is to find out if the Self-Evaluation Committee’s work is recognized and valued by the teaching staff. The research presents a combined approach and we used the phenomenological method of Colaizzi to analyze the transcripts of the interviews and quantitative to analyze the questionnaires applied to the participants of this study. The literature corroborates the main reason presented by the teachers to justify their unavailability to join the Self-Evaluation Committee.
