Background: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is defined as left ventricular end-diastolic maximal wall thickness (WTMax) ≥15.0 mm, without accounting for ethnicity, sex, and body size. It is well-established that Asians have smaller hearts than do Caucasians.
