This thesis, ApprentIA, is an experimental thesis. The goal was to get a hang of the humanoid robot called NAO, to test the limits of coding implementations, and try to create an interaction between NAO and a student at the university level where the robot could help the student in his studies. The first part of this document is dedicated to humanoid robots to position NAO in the world of robotics when compared to other robots. This helped understanding that for such a project NAO is not necessarily the most appropriate robot on the market
