This research compares and contrasts two lead user measures-onefrom the field of innovation management and one from the field of consumerstudy. The first measure, Leading Edge Status (LES) was firstproposed by Morrison (1995).The second measure, which is secondarilyreconstructed from consumer characteristics constructs, was firstproposed by Katsumata and Ichikohji (2011).We applied both measuresto the same samples and compared the scores to assess whetherthey measured the same construct.
