It is observed that fish culture industry both in Japan and Korea has a distinct contrast in term of production, marketing, consumption, and trade. This paper aims to find out the natural, social and economic conditions which distinguish yellowtail and red sea-bream cultures between Japan and Korea. From a couple of visits to the fish culture industries in Japan and Korea, the following conclusions are drawn. First, Korean fish culture industry has a comparative disadvantage over the Japanese one due to its cold temperature along her coastline. Secondly, Korean prefer to the yellowtail less than Japanese.
