‘Between Fire and Flood’ was a solo commissioned project that responded to ideas of climate and atmosphere on the north west coast of Tasmania. Through a series of photographic works ‘Between Fire and Flood’ aimed to counter-balance emotive states with those of nature, such as loss, growth and change, and to poetically represent the complexities of internal and external states of mind where mind and nature coalesce. Using lens-based source material of the north west coast of Tasmania produced over 24 months, the project created affective artworks that capture the atmosphere of this place.
