PERENCANAAN TEBAL PERKERASAN KAKU DENGAN METODE MANUAL DESAIN PERKERASAN BINA MARGA 2017 DAN METODE AASHTO 1993 PADA JALUR LINGKAR KUNINGAN – CIAMIS JAWA BARAT

Transportation is a very important part in the development of an area, both on a provincial and city scale. Roads are an indispensable infrastructure for land transportation. Kuningan is a regional strategy that connects two cities in West Java Province, namely Kuningan and Ciamis. The Kuningan – Ciamis line itself is a busy route every day. This road pavement uses rigid pavement, so that the pavement can last up to its service life, it is necessary to use the right design method in its planning. There are many methods to design this thick concrete slab, including the method of Bina Marga 2017 and AASHTO 1993. This final project aims to analyze alternative pavement thickness designs, examine the planning parameters of the two methods, plan the thickness of the concrete slab, and perform a comparative analysis of the results of the two methods. This method is obtained by collecting secondary data in the form of LHR data, land CBR data, standardization of price rules, and road network layouts. Then the pavement thickness is calculated using both methods, and the results of the calculations are then made a comparison between the two methods. In the 2017 Bina Marga calculation, the pavement thickness was 27.5 cm at a cost of Rp. 34,461,918,059.87, while based on the 1993 AASHTO calculation, the pavement thickness was 22.86 cm at a cost of Rp. 31,436,476,803.29. Meanwhile, for post-construction maintenance costs for 20 years, the results are more affordable in the Bina Marga method compared to the AASHTO method, because it has a higher thickness of pavement so can be minimizing the damage after the cconstruction
