The AIDS Commission (AC) of Tulungagung Regency is an institution in charge of dealing with issues regarding HIV and AIDS. The commission oversees several NGO communities, such as CESMID (Center Studying Milieu Development), YPAIDS, Pelangi Community (community that oversees Men like Men), Aprikot (Apresisasi Waria Kota Tulungagung), KDS (Kelompok Dukungan Sebaya). Where, some of these NGOs, are groups with a high risk of spreading and transmitting AIDS. Tulungagung Regency is located in East Java Province which is ranked first with the highest number of PLWHA in Indonesia.
