STUDI KEKERABATAN FENETIK GENUS BEGONIA DENGAN METODE TAKSIMETRI SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI

Indonesia is known as a country megabiodiversity. The genus is used as ornamental plants, medicinal and food ingredients is the Begonia genus. Only a few studies have reviewed the phenetic kinship of this genus, so the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the phenetic kinship of the Begonia genus to the taximetric method in Sidomulyo. The research was using the roaming method and the results were observed using cluster analysis. The results of data collection 15 plants are Begonia maculata Raddi var. wightii, Begonia rex Silver cirle, Begonia masoniana Irmsher, Begonia listada L. B. Smith & Wasshausen, Begonia imperialis Lemaire, Begonia acetosa Vellozo, Begonia bowerae Bethlehem Star, Begonia “Silver Mist”, Begonia brevirimosa Irmscher, Begonia Argenteo-Guttata, Begonia heracleifolia “Black Falon”, Begonia goudotii, Begonia manicata, Begonia auriculata, and Begonia thelmae. The results of the cluster analysis show that the closest relationship level is Begonia masoniana Irmsher with Begonia listada L. B. Smith & Wasshausen and the farthest relationship is Begonia goudatii with Begonia Argenteo-Guttata. The conclusion from the kinship study of the begonia genus by the taximetry method was categorized into 4 groups. The closest kinship level is Begonia masoniana Irmsher with Begonia listada L. B. Smith & Wasshausen, whereas the furthest kinship level is Begonia goudatii with Argenteo-Guttata Discrimination analysis of the 15 characteristic using the Chi-Square test obtained the 5 most specific characteristics, stem type, stem surface, leaf type, upper surface of the leaf, and lower surface of the leaf
