ANALISIS PERILAKU BERMASALAH SISWA KELAS ATAS SDN 34 KOTA GRESIK

Problematic behavior of students is that problem that needs attention from the teachers. Problem behavior can harm students themselves and their environment. This research discusses the problematic behavior in elementary schools, especially for upper class students. This research was conducted at SDN 34, Gresik City. The purpose of this research was to find out the types of problematic behavior, the factors influencing the problematic behavior, and the efforts made by the teacher in dealing with problematic behavior. This research used the qualitative approach with case study research method. The data collection method in this research used observations, interviews, and documentations with the research subject of the headmaster, one 5th grade teacher, and one 6th grade teacher, 2 parents, one friend of 5th grade problematic student and one friend of 6th grade problematic student based on student achievement in class, one of 5th grade problematic student and one of 6th grade problematic student based on the results of interviews with teacher. The results of research that has been carried out at SDN 34, Gresik City showed the types of problematic behavior carried out by upper-class students such as not doing assignments, truancy, and coming late to school. The problematic behavior was caused by external and internal factors. External factors were the lack of parental attention to their children and students who work to help their parents. The internal factors were the lack of motivation and interest of students to learn. Efforts were made by teachers in dealing with problematic behavior by providing guidance and counseling. In addition, teachers also made the visit to students' homes to communicate problems happened by students with their parents
