Ung i Lørenskog 2009

This report summarises findings from a survey of 776 young people living in Lørenskog, a municipally near by the capital of Norway. A questionnaire was administrated during spring 2009 to pupils attending secondary schools who were living Lørenskog. The study covers the age group 13-17 year old. The report draws a picture of different aspects of daily life among youth in Lørenskog. The findings show that most youths enjoy living in Lørenskog. They are satisfied with school, with their parents and friends and with the local community. Furthermore, the report shows that young people in Lørenskog are active in their leisure time, meeting friends, doing sports, listening to music and surfing on the internet etc. An important finding is that the youths are more active in sports and fewer smokes tobacco, compared to a study of the same age population in Lørenskog in 1997. The report also reveals aspects that are less positive, e.g. bullying in school and depressive mood
