The results of implementing Family Group Conferences as a method within the Norwegian Child Welfare Services are predominently positive, also compared to traditional methods. A NOVA evaluation found a reduction of the childrenö‚'s problems one year after the Family Group Conference.The evaluation shows a significant, positive development in the Family Group Conference cases. This pertains to a reduction in the social workerö‚'s assessment of how serious the cases were, and their assessment of increased interactional skills on the part of the parents.
