Homelessness has long been recognised as a worldwide problem that affects the poorest people in both developed and developing countries. Basic needs such as food, healthcare, education even shelters have often been difficult to be met. Despite many attempts to tackle this enduring matter, however, it seems unresolved. The number of homelessness keep increasing especially in big cities and this phenomenon is viewed as weaknesses of rulers in handling such situation. Peoples' knowledge on homelessness and homeless needs are critical for the development of successful and long-lasting policy solutions, yet there is currently no significant study in Malaysia.
