عطار نیشابوری، شاعری عارف یا شاعری داروساز و طبیب

Background and Aim: Farid al-Din Mohammad Neyshaburi (1146- 1221 AD) known as Attar, is a pharmacist and Iranian poet in the 6th and 7th centuries AH. Attari meant a set of activities related to medicine including pharmacy, selling medicine and treatment. The purpose of this study is to introduce Attar as a physician and pharmacist and the effects of these sciences on his works. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive-historical study based on library resources. By referring to the compilations of Attar and using the keywords Attar Neyshaburi, poet of physician and poet of pharmacist the desired materials were collected and presented after analysis. Findings: The use of words related to medicine and treatment in the works of Attar indicates his interest in pharmacy and medicine along with writing poems. Some great people have introduced Attar as greatness man in their works. The title of Attar has been attributed to him because he had a large pharmacy, made and sold medicine and treated patients. Ethical Considerations: This research has been done only by relying on library resources and the principle of fidelity and honesty of citing the used texts, the originality of the sources and avoiding bias in referring to texts or analyzes have been observed. Conclusion: Attar is one of the poets who has had enough information about the pharmaceutical knowledge of his time and knew the medicinal plants well. Therefore, we can consider him as a poet of pharmacy who is the pioneer in the phytotherapy. However, his name is not mentioned in the list of Iranian physicians but it is suggested that more research can be done on his poetic and prose works getting to know better of the high position of this great poet.   Cite this article as: Hashemimehr SM. Medical History Journal 2021; 13(46): e18.زمینه و هدف: شیخ فریدالدین محمد نیشابوری (618-540 ه. ق) مشهور به عطار، داروساز و شاعر بزرگ ایرانی در قرون ششم و هفتم هجری قمری است که با ورود به عرفان، اشعارش رنگ و بوی معنوی به خود گرفت. در گذشته منظور از عطاري، مجموعه فعاليت‌هاي مربوط به طب اعم از داروسازي، داروفروشي و درمان بوده است. هدف از پژوهش حاضر، معرفی عطار به عنوان طبیبی داروساز و تأثیرات این علوم بر آثار وی می‌باشد. مواد و روش‌ها: این پژوهش، یک مطالعه‌ی کتابخانه‌ای، با روش توصیفی-تاریخی می‌باشد. با مراجعه به دو تالیف مهم عطار نیشابوری به نام‌های مصیبت‌نامه و الهی‌نامه و با مطالعه‌ی مقالات متعدد و جستجو در بانک‌های اطلاعاتی معتبر با کلید واژه‌های عطار نیشابوری، داروسازی، شاعرِ طبیب و شاعرِ داروساز، مطالب مورد نظر گردآوری و اطلاعات بدست آمده پس از تجزیه و تحلیل در قالبی منظم ارائه گردید. یافته‌ها: بکارگیری فراوان واژگان مرتبط با دارو و درمان در آثار عطار نیشابوری، نشان از علاقه وی به عطاری و طبابت در کنار شعرسُرایی دارد. بزرگانی چون مولوی، شیخ محمود شبستری و صائب تبریزی در آثارشان به معرفی و مدح عطار پرداخته‌اند. لقب عطار نیز به علت اینکه داروخانه بزرگی داشته و به ساخت و فروش دارو و درمان بیماران می‌پرداخته به او نسبت داده شده است. ملاحظات اخلاقی: این پژوهش صرفا با تکیه بر منابع کتابخانه‌ای انجام شده و اصل امانت­داری و صداقت استناد به متون مورد استفاده، اصالت منابع و پرهیز از جانب­داری در مراجعه به متون یا تحلیل‌ها، رعایت شده است. نتیجه‌گیری: عطار از جمله شاعرانی است كه از دانش داروسازی روزگار خود اطلاعات کافی داشته و گیاهان دارویی را خوب می‌شناخته است. بنابراین مي‌توان او را شاعر داروسازی به شمار آورد که در نهضت گیاه درمانی، از پيشگامان است. اگرچه نام او در ردیف اسامی اطبای سنتی ایرانی برده نمی‌شود، ولی پیشنهاد می‌شود تحقیقات بیشتری در آثار منظوم و منثور او از منظر پزشکی و داروسازی انجام گیرد تا جایگاه والای این مرد بزرگ بیشتر شناسانده شود
