The growth of the Russian economics is on a very high level at present and the popularity of Russia is also growing in the eyes of many investors. In a large extent, this concerns investors who are investing their capital into the development of the car manufacturing industry. It is evident from the analysis of the Russian automotive industry that the interest in investing to this sector has been rapidly growing in last five years, especially from the side of world automotive manufacturers. The development of the Russian automotive industry is supported also by the Russian government. Around two million personal vehicles should be produced on the Russian territory in the year 2010, according to the plans of the Russian government. One of many automotive manufacturers who are interested in starting their production in Russia is also the Volkswagen automotive concern. Factory and office buildings of the Škoda Auto a.s. and Volkswagen AG joint venture are presently being built in the city of Kaluga, situated 150km southwest from Moscow. The growing Russian market will be very important for these companies. The production capacity of this new plant will be up to 115 thousand vehicles per year and the whole production will be intended for Russian customers.Význam Ruska na současné světové scéně je stále větší. Růst ruské ekonomiky je v současné době na velmi vysoké úrovni a popularita Ruska se u mnohých investorů také zvětšuje. Ve velké míře se jedná o investory vkládajících svůj kapitál do rozvoje automobilové výroby. Z analýzy ruského automobilového průmyslu je zřejmě, že zájem o investování do této oblasti především ze strany světových výrobců automobilů se za posledních pět let rapidně zvýšil. Rozvoj ruského automobilového průmyslu je podporován také ruskou vládou. V roce 2010 by podle jejího záměru mělo být na ruském území vyrobeno okolo dvou miliónů osobních automobilů. Jedním z mnohých výrobců automobilů, kteří mají zájem zahájit výrobu v Rusku, je také automobilový koncern Volkswagen. Výrobní a administrativní budovy společného podniku Škody Auto a.s. a Volkswagenu AG se v současné době staví ve městě Kaluga 150 km jihozápadně od Moskvy. Rostoucí ruský trh bude pro tyto společnosti velmi důležitý. Výrobní kapacita tohoto nového závodu bude až 115 tisíc vozů ročně a celá produkce bude určena pro ruské zákazníky
