A foam from bovine gelatine was used as basic material of scaffold, which creates interconnected structure. The foam contains a knitted mesh of PGA, which adds good mechanical properties to the scaffold. The knitted mesh increased the tensile of the scaffold, which made material handling easier during testing. The cells reproduced and proliferated very easy after seeding. Testing in vitro showed itself very successful and suitable for tisseu engineering of knee cartilage. Now the testing of scaffold proceeds in vivo in small pigs.
