8. SINIF ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN DİJİTAL ORTAMLARDA OKUMA DAVRANIŞLARININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

The aim of this research is to determine the reading behaviors of 8th grade students in digital environments. This study was carried out in a quantitative research design. Scanning model was used in the study. The universe of the research consists of 8th grade students of secondary school studying in Ankara. As a sample, 143 students were taken from four secondary schools in Çankaya, Yenimahalle, Mamak and Pursaklar districts of Ankara province. “Survey form” was used to collect data. In order to determine the reading behaviors of the students in digital environments, their opinions were taken over 14 questions. As a result of the analysis of the data in the research, it has been determined that students do not spend much time daily in digital environments; they use digital media more than reading; more than two years of experience with digital tools; the vast majority of them like to use digital tools; the most used reading tool is the smartphone; he has not been reading in digital media for a long time; most of them read in digital environments for less than half an hour a day; nearly half of them like to read in digital environments; read mostly communicative articles; very few of them regularly read long texts in digital environments; very few of them regularly follow genres such as newspapers and magazines in digital environments; most of them have good digital reading skills; very few of them do not use digital reading skills while reading
