A pipe bursting is one of the major problems in water distribution systems. This problem resulted in losses, particularly in water wastage or shortage and infrastructure damages. Furthermore, several organisation and authorities do not have systems or database for water management monitoring, leading to a difficulty in monitoring and update the condition of the pipeline. Geographical Information System (GIS) can help to develop a geospatial database for the water distribution network; to determine the high potential of pipe to be burst and identify the areas affected by the pipe failure.
