Due to the ongoing concern for environmental sustainability and the essential demand for cost reduction, 3D printers have become one of the major topics nowadays with a huge open-source community around them. The goal of this dissertation is to create the control system for a novel 3D printer prototype for building purposes that is able to climb on the profile that it prints in order to obtain an “infinite z growth”. The prototype will then be discussed, as well as the designer choices that have been made upon it, along with possible future expansion, to resolve the problems that it may encounte
