Concrete producers must guarantee the quality of their products, which induces a suitable control of the composition of the concrete produced. However, changes in the aggregate water content make the precise dosage of the various constituents difficult. The aim of this work is then to propose methods for the improvement of water dosage consistency, and for the on-line monitoring of workability, in the context of industrial concrete production. An original procedure is first proposed to calibrate the watt-meter, seen as a probe to assess the fresh concrete water content.
