AbstractPhotovoltaic systems (PV) are an integrated set of photovoltaic modules with all the necessarycomponents that are dimensioned to receive solar energy and convert it into electricity that wouldbe adequately powered by some DC and/or AC consumers. Depending on how they work,photovoltaic systems can be divided into stand-alone PV systems (off-grid), grid-tied PV systemsconnected to the electricity distribution network (on-grid), and hybrid PV systems as a combinationof the previous two systems.In this paper, we will consider the operation of a hybrid grid-connected PV system with batterystorage which transforms solar energy into electricity and allows the storage of excess generatedelectricity in the batteries.
