In this research we have studied the mechanical behaviour of the plaster plate structures associated to steel stiffeners. A finite element analysis has been used in this study and two specific subprograms were developed in the "MARC" code. A large compaign for an experimental study has been finalised to identification of the developed model parameters. The individual components of the plaster plate (cardboard and plaster) have different characteristics from their virgin state (before association) to the state after production process. Thus, a global approach was adopted to identify the plate as a homogeneous equivalent material.
