Jennifer Pictou of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs of the Mi\u27kmaw Nation is working to revive quill embroidery in her community. Once famous for their porcupine quill embroidery, the skills died out as large numbers of Micmacs perished from diseases brought by European colonists.
