This paper describes the consequences of affordable housing production at peri-urban areas in the Amazonian Ecuadorian towns. Throughout exhaustive qualitative methodologies that engage different social actors, it has been identified that public policies creating outside settlements reproduce socio-economic fragmentation and territorial exclusion.
