This work reviews the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) of three sugarcane stemborers of economic importance in Panama: Diatraea spp. (Lepidoptera: Crambidae), Elasmopalpus lignosellus (Zeller, 1848) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) and Telchin licus (Drury, 1773) (Lepidoptera: Castniidae). An overview of the use of chemical insecticides against these borer species is included, along with the main results and achievements obtained with different agricultural practices and alternative pest management methods such as pheromones bioinsecticides and biological control.
