The sociocultural context of the family understands (includes) the level of education of the father and of the mother; the interest of father and of the mother far the education of his (her, your) children; and, the type of family. The cognitive determinant processes of the reading initial learning are: the phonological conscience the semantic recognition and the visual memory (report). The type of family relates inversely proportionally to the cognitive determinant processes of the reading initial learning.la investigación denominada contexto sociocultural de la familia y su relación con los procesos cognitivos determinantes del aprendizaje lector inicial en niños y niñas de 5 años de la Institución Educativa N° 314 del distrito de Rioja en el año 2006, tuvo Por objetivo analizar la relación del contexto sociocultural de la familia con los procesos cognitivos determinantes del aprendizaje lector inicial en niños y niñas de 5 años de la Institución Educativa N° 314 del distrito de Rioja en el año 2008. El contexto sociocultural de la familia comprende el nivel de escolaridad del padre y de la madre; el interés de padre y de la madre por la educación de sus hijos; y, el tipo de familia, los procesos cognitivos determinantes del aprendizaje lector inicial son: la conciencia fonológica, el reconocimiento semántico y la memoria visual. Los datos se han recolectado de 16 niñas y niños, de 12 padres y 16 madres. El diseño de contrastación fue transeccional correlacional. Mediante la encuesta se ha administrado un cuestionario a los padres y madres; la información de los niños se ha recolectado mediante la entrevista utilizando una guía estructura. Contrastado las hipótesis se ha encontrado que el nivel de escolaridad de las madres se relaciona inversamente proporcional con los procesos cognitivos determinantes del aprendizaje lector inicial. El nivel de escolaridad de los padres se relaciona inversamente proporcional con los procesos cognitivos determinantes del aprendizaje lector inicial. El interés de las madres por la educación de sus hijos se relaciona inversamente proporcional con los procesos cognitivos determinantes del aprendizaje lector inicial.
