This research work is to study the relationship between the aquatic macro invertebrates as biological indicators and the water quality in the Mishquiyacu watershed, using the index BMWP/Col. (Biological Monitoring Working Party), same that assigns scores to the species of macro invertebrates in accordance to their level of toleran ce to pollution, the scale is from 1 to 1 O, being the species of high scores the least tolerant to water pollution, and the least scored the most resistant to the presence of contamination.
