Celebrated each year on 11 February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is a reminder that women and girls play a critical role in science and technology communities and that their participation should be strengthened. Dr Allen is working with the Swinburne and Haileybury IN Space Experiment (SHINE), which aims to produce experiments designed and built by Haileybury secondary students, alongside Swinburne mentors, which will then be undertaken on the International Space Station.
