The Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS) is a household-based sample survey conducted by Statistics South Africa (Stats SA). It collects data on the labour market activities of individuals aged 15 years or older who live in South Africa. In 2005, Stats SA undertook a major revision of the Labour Force Survey (LFS) which had been conducted twice per year since 2000. This report is the sixth annual report produced by Stats SA on the labour market in South Africa. It is based largely on revised data for the period 2008 to 2013 from the QLFS that reflect new population benchmarks from the 2011 Population Census.
