Considering systematize and understand the development of the ability to solve students' problems, we sought to use a didactic system based on the studies of Galperin, Talízina and Majmutov. In this sense, the main objective of this study was to analyze the contribution of using the Student Problem Situations Activity as a teaching methodology for the development of problem-solving skills in the discipline of Differential and Integral Calculus in students of the Licentiate Degree in Mathematics the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE).
