This article discusses disputes over public educational resources, considering the (re)updates of neoliberal policies in the national scenario. In particular, we deal with the recent procedure and regulation of (New) Fundeb, seeking to highlight the privatist offensives on the fund's resources. From the theoretical-methodological perspective of the case study, we highlight the disputed policies and interests in the field of financing the education of children aged 0 to 3 years, in São Gonçalo, a city located in the metropolitan region of the city of Rio de Janeiro, showing the attendance at the daycare.
