The tertiary sector worldwide has been subjected to ongoing change. One area where change has been significant is in the corporatisation of institutions and the associated rise of managerialism. This article reports on a qualitative research study conducted in three New Zealand tertiary education institutions that explored the leadership experiences in these tertiary institutions. It aimed to provide a snap-shot a decade later of changes in the corporatisation of tertiary institutions in New Zealand.
