Osteoarthritis (OA) is considered to be one of the leading causes of disability and the most frequent form of arthritis worldwide. There exists a growing body of evidence that manual therapy may be efficacious in reducing pain and improving function in individuals with hip OA. However, no studies have been conducted to study the effect of osteopathic treatment for hip osteoarthritis. The aim of this study was to quantitatively examine any functional effect osteopathic treatment might have on individuals with hip osteoarthritis.
