ABSTRACT Rice is one of the staple food crops that needs to be improved in production management with the aim of increasing technical efficiency. Improved technical efficiency can be done by utilizing the factors of rice production optimally. Pematang Bandar Sub-district in 2016 became a rice barn in Simalungun Regency, but in the last few years rice productivity has fluctuated.
